Celtics Dominate Mavericks for 2-0 Lead in NBA Finals Behind Holiday’s Heroics

The Boston Celtics secured a 2-0 lead in the NBA Finals with a 105-98 victory over the Dallas Mavericks in Game 2. Jrue Holiday led the Celtics with 26 points, excelling with drives and cuts to the basket. Boston, despite a poor shooting night, has now won nine straight postseason games and is just two wins away from an NBA title.

Jayson Tatum struggled with his shot, going 6-for-22, but contributed 12 assists, effectively handling the Mavericks’ double teams. Jaylen Brown added 21 points and seven assists, while Derrick White scored 18 points, making crucial plays in the final minutes. Kristaps Porzingis scored 12 points before leaving the game with a leg injury, which he downplayed afterward.

Luka Doncic recorded a triple-double with 32 points, 11 rebounds, and 11 assists but struggled in the fourth quarter, scoring only three points and turning the ball over eight times. Kyrie Irving scored 16 points but was largely ineffective in the second half. The Mavericks need to improve their shooting and offensive execution to avoid falling further behind in the series.
