Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell Face Two Home Invasions in Four Months: ‘I’m Never Without a Guard’ Now

Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell recently revealed they endured two home invasions within a span of four months, prompting Hawn to take stringent security measures.

In a candid discussion on SiriusXM’s Let’s Talk Off Camera with Kelly Ripa, the 78-year-old actress recounted the harrowing experiences. The first incident occurred after she and Russell, 73, returned home from a dinner outing to find their belongings ransacked. “I walked into my closet and I just lost it,” Hawn recalled. The burglars had broken into their bedroom via the balcony and breached a secure door, making off with many of her valuables.

Initially, Hawn believed the likelihood of a repeat invasion was slim. However, her sense of security was shattered again just four months later. This time, Hawn was alone at home when she heard a loud noise from upstairs. “I hear this big thump upstairs — and I was alone; Kurt wasn’t there — and I went, ‘What the hell was that?'” she told Kelly Ripa. The next day, it was confirmed that an intruder had attempted to enter her bedroom while she was present in the house.

Describing the incidents as terrifying, Hawn revealed that she has since employed constant security measures. “I’m never without a guard,” she stated, emphasizing her need for a heightened sense of safety, especially when alone.

Hawn also reflected on her enduring relationship with Russell, highlighting his commitment to family as a key reason she knew he was the right partner. In a previous appearance on SiriusXM’s Conan O’Brien Needs a Friend, Hawn spoke about how Russell’s dedication to her children, from her previous marriage to Bill Hudson, played a significant role in their bond. “It wasn’t just because he was sexy and handsome… it was because he matched my devotion to children to be No. 1,” she shared.

Reflecting on her past fears of finding a partner who would love her children as much as she does, Hawn expressed gratitude that Russell fulfilled that wish. “And it happened,” she said, underscoring the deep connection that has kept them together for over four decades.
