Sister Act 2 Cast Reunites on The View for 30th Anniversary Celebration
The View celebrated the 30th anniversary of Sister Act 2: Back in the Habit with a cast reunion. Whoopi Goldberg, dressed as Sister Mary Clarence, led the cast in “Oh Happy Day.” Former cast members, including Ryan Toby, Kathy Najimy, Wendy Makkena, and Sheryl Lee Ralph, shared memories and praised Goldberg for her off-camera support.

Sheryl Lee Ralph recalled a memorable scene with Lauryn Hill, who was absent. Music supervisors Marc Shaiman and Mervyn Warren discussed the creation of the musical numbers.
Videos from absent cast members, including Jennifer Love Hewitt and Jenifer Lewis, were played. Hewitt, who was 13 during filming, expressed gratitude for working with Goldberg and hearing Lauryn Hill sing.

The show ended with a performance of “Joyful Joyful,” led by Tanya Trotter. Trotter shared how Goldberg ensured her voice was heard after multiple auditions. The cast recreated the choreography, joined by LaGuardia High School students and surprise fans.
Goldberg mentioned the upcoming Sister Act 3, expressing excitement for the sequel.
